After the initial form sketches, some lo-fi prototypes were made to get a feel of the mouse's size and to estimate button and dial placement.
Through some tests using functional prototypes with a moving dial, I felt that the dial could be used either with your thumb without taking your palm off the mouse, or in a 'fine-tune' manner where you would use it as a dial with two fingers.
Adding detail to the mockup by sticking pieces of masking tape and drawing on them with a Sharpie, and plotting the dial with duct tape.
Rhino3D was used to make the initial prototypes, explore surfacing, and to add final details to the mouse.
Thank you!
